Back to School Essentials: Natural Makeup - Fast!

Summer is almost over. I'm sorry to those who aren't ready to admit it. Soon you won't be able to wake up whenever you want. You'll be back into your school morning routine. Part of that routine for me includes achieving a natural makeup look that will last me the whole day and that I can do in a short amount of time. I know this can be difficult at 7:00 in the morning (especially after becoming accustomed to waking up at 10:00 AM for the past two and a half months). Here are my favorite products for getting a flawless face fast (and for less) and an easy to re-create makeup look inspired by Lauren Conrad.
1.) Covergirl Clean liquid foundation- This liquid foundation comes in a few different formulas but I have only ever used the sensitive skin one in 205 Ivory. I love this foundation because it goes on evenly and lasts all day.

2.) Maybelline Fit Me Concealer- One of my best friends swears by the Maybelline Fit Me collection.

3.) e.l.f. Tone Correcting Powder- I am completely obsessed with this product. I go through compacts of it like crazy. I have very fair skin with a bit of redness on my cheeks. This powder totally makes the redness less noticeable and keeps my face looking matte all day long. My favorite thing about it? It's only $3 at Target!

4.) e.l.f. Eyelid Primer- I love the brand e.l.f. because they had good quality product for great prices. This eyelid primer is no exception. I rarely go a day without wearing it because it keeps my eyeshadow looking great for hours.

5.) Maybelline Stylish Smokes eyeshadow quad- I love eyeshadow and have a rather large collection of it. Some of my favorite shades can be found in the Natural Smokes quad by Maybelline. All of the shadows in this quad are very pigmented (true to color) and last for a very long time.

6.) Maybelline One by One Volum Express waterproof mascara- I love Maybelline's One by One mascara. I used to use the regular one which is great but then I bought the waterproof one for the summertime. I find this one to be even better.

7.) Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm- I briefly talked about my love for Baby Lips in my must haves post. For school I love a natural peachy lip. Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss is great for this. I love that this lip has SPF 20.

8.) Beauty Rush Lipgloss- This lipgloss from Victoria's Secret is great for any occasion. On days that I want to dress up my makeup I wear the lipgloss in Strawberry Fizz. I also love the Minty Lip Shine by Beauty Rush as well.

Some extra things to also invest in:
Makeup Brushes- Makeup brushes are a great thing to have I love the e.l.f. brushes that Target carries. They are inexpensive and nice quality. Some of my favorite e.l.f. brushes (foundation, bronzing, eyeshadow) are only a dollar and the rest (powder, flat-top, eyeliner) are three dollars.
An eyelash curler- When your eyelashes are curled your entire face looks more awake. e.l.f. makes a great one.
Blush- For days when I want a feminine glow I use Covergirl Cheekers Blush in Natural Glow (a light pink).
Bronzer- e.l.f.'s golden bronzer is great for summer days and all year round.

I'm a huge fan of Lauren Conrad. I love the way she dresses and her line for Kohl's is fabulous. My favorite thing about her look is her makeup. It always looks feminine and natural but never boring.

To achieve a natural look like Lauren's here's what you'll need:
Liquid foundation, concealer, powder, light pink blush, eyelid primer, very light brown shimmery eye shadow, chocolate brown eyeshadow, liquid eyeliner, an eyelash curler, mascara, light pink lipstick, lipgloss, and various makeup brushes.

1.) Dot your favorite liquid foundation onto your face and blend in with a foundation brush.
2.) Swipe a concealer that is two shades lighter than your skin tone under your eyes and rub in with your ring finger (it has the lightest touch). Also cover up any blemishes.
3.) Using a fluffy brush apply your favorite pressed or loose translucent powder all over your face to set your liquid makeup and achieve a matte finish.
4.) Blend an eyelid primer onto your lids all the way from your inner corner to a bit farther than your outer corner.
5.) Using a flat eyeshadow brush apply a shimmery skin tone eyeshadow to your entire lid and inner corner.
6.) Using a crease brush apply a chocolate brown eyeshadow into your crease. Blend.
7.) Starting in your inner corner with liquid eyeliner draw a thin line following the shape of your lashline and wing out at your outer corner. Allow the liner to dry.
8.) Curl your lashes.
9.) Apply 2 to 3 coats of your favorite volumizing mascara.
10.) Put on a thin coat of light pink lipstick and top it off with pink gloss.

Ta da! You have a chic and school appropriate makeup look that takes no time to accomplish.

I hope this helps you out when creating a back to school makeup look.
